Light vs medium load elden ring.
The beginning and end of the medium roll have an almost imperceptibly different animation from the light roll, more of a lurch than a smooth roll and stand. These lurches are not invincible, losing 2-4 i-frames that the smoother and more immediate light roll gives. So it's not mobility speed, but more about i-frame trigger delay that is slower.
I also suspect that light and medium roll are the same, but I don't like that that video doesn't show actual equip load and the light and med roll characters seem to have the same gear. Obviously he could have heavy weapons in slots 2 and 3 or lower endurance or something, but I'd prefer it be visible. It seems like light load doesn’t add any iframes over the medium load roll. The distance and speed benefits are not that great vs the medium roll either. I understand that this makes medium load preferable for PvE, but is having the best roll possible still worth it for PvP? I started using medium equip load and haven't had issues. Seems odd to have three weight categories though if light doesn't have any mechanical differences compared to medium.
